Seminar 5: Dr Tomasz Klimek on practical aspects of establishing and managing private foundations in Austria and Liechtenstein

On 17 October 2023 at 5 p.m. (CET), Dr Tomasz Klimek, an attorney-in-law in Austria and Liechtenstein, will share his insights into practical aspects of running private foundations in these two countries.

Dr Tomasz Klimek is an attorney-in-law in Austria (Rechtsanwalt), Liechtenstein (öffentlicher Notar) and Poland (radca prawny). He studied at the Jagiellonian University, Heidelberg University, University of Vienna, and the University of Liechtenstein. His special area of interest are private foundations. He recently joined our team working on a grant focused on private foundations as a tool for multi-generational estate planning.

Our research team, led by Prof. Konrad Osajda, LL.M., in collaboration with the Commercial Law Department of University of Warsaw, warmly invites everyone to join our meeting. During the seminar, Dr Klimek will shed light on selected practical aspects of establishing and managing private foundations in Austria and Liechtenstein. After presenting the topic, he will answer questions from participants. Everyone may take part in the discussion.

This will be another seminar within the series entitled “Wealth Management: Private Foundations – Comparative Perspective”. Each of the previous meetings focused on private foundations in a selected legal system. The seminars are led by outstanding experts, both scholars and legal practitioners, who deal with private foundations on a daily basis.
