Seminar 4: Prof. Martin Schauer on private foundations in Austria

Next online seminar will take place on 21 March 2023 at 5.00 p.m. (CET) via Zoom and cover the topic of private foundations in Austria. The speaker will be Prof. Martin Schauer.

Prof. Dr Martin Schauer, an Austrian specialist in civil and commercial law, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Vienna and currently teaches at Masaryk University in Brno. His special area of interest are private foundations. From 2016 to 2020, he was one of the partners in the international research project “Familiäre Vermögensplanung” (“Family estate planning”).

Our research team, directed by Prof. Konrad Osajda, LL.M., together with the Commercial Law Chair of University of Warsaw, kindly invites everybody to join the seminar about private foundations in Austria. After presenting the topic, Prof. Schauer will answer questions from participants. Everyone may take part in the discussion.

It will be the last of four seminars within the series entitled “Wealth Management: Private Foundations – Comparative Perspective”. Each meeting is devoted to private foundations in a selected legal system. The seminars are led by outstanding experts, both scholars and legal practitioners, who deal with private foundations in their daily work.
