Seminar 3: Dr Christian Bochmann on private foundations in Germany

Next online seminar will take place on 6 March 2023 at 5.30 p.m. via Zoom. It is entitled “Foundation-owned Family Firms in Germany and the Balance between Continuity and Transformation”. The speaker will be Dr Christian Bochmann.

Dr Christian Bochmann, LL.M. (Cambridge) is Managing Director of the Center for Family Business of the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and lecturer at the University of Leipzig. He specialises in corporate and capital markets law as well as business succession law. Besides the academia, he also works as a practitioner: he is attorney-at-law and partner in Flick Gocke Schaumburg and supervisory board member in a family enterprise in northern Germany.

Our research team, directed by Prof. Konrad Osajda, LL.M., together with the Commercial Law Chair of University of Warsaw, kindly invites everybody to join the seminar about foundation-owned family firms in Germany. After presenting the topic, Dr Bochmann will answer the questions posed by the participants. We encourage everyone to take part in the discussion.

It will be the third of four seminars within the series entitled “Wealth Management: Private Foundations – Comparative Perspective”. Each meeting is devoted to private foundations in a selected legal system. The seminars are carried out by outstanding experts, both scholars and legal practitioners, who deal with private foundations in their daily work.
